Privacy Policy
Last revised 9 August 2026
Celestorik.com is a static reference site. There is no account, no login, no payment processing and no visitor database. This notice sets out the little that is handled, on what basis, and how to reach the person responsible. It follows the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. Who is accountable
Harry Taylor, an individual publisher in Australia, operates this site and answers privacy correspondence at [email protected].
2. What is handled, and why
- Request records. The web server records the IP address, timestamp, requested path and browser identification of each request. Purpose: keeping the site available and investigating abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest in operating a website securely.
- Measurement, with consent. If you accept in the notice, aggregated page-view statistics are collected so we know which guides need updating. Declining leaves this dormant.
- Advertising, with consent. Where advertising is served, its cookies are set only after acceptance.
- Email correspondence. Kept while your enquiry is open and deleted once it is closed.
- Membership requests. The form on the membership page gathers your name, email address, the tier chosen and two optional fields. It is sent as an ordinary email from your own account — the site neither stores nor transmits it — and it is used to arrange and deliver the membership, then kept only as long as the membership lasts. Card and banking details are never requested by email.
3. Who else is involved
Our hosting provider processes request data in the course of serving pages. Analytics and advertising providers receive only what your consent choice permits. Personal information is not sold, rented or traded.
4. Overseas handling
Some providers operate infrastructure outside Australia. Where that is the case, the transfer is limited to what is required to deliver the service you requested by opening the page.
5. Your rights
- Access — ask what is held about you.
- Correction — ask for inaccurate information to be fixed.
- Withdrawal — change your cookie decision by clearing this site's stored data.
- Complaint — write to us first; if unresolved, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner accepts complaints.
6. Retention
Server records persist only as long as our provider's standard retention period. Nothing else is stored on our side.
7. Revisions
Revisions appear on this page with a new date at the top. Substantive changes are also flagged on the home page.
